M14 is an Excellent Training Ground for player

Very happy with the results from the training we received. Is is expensive, yes, so what, so are the shoes you wear, but are they worth it is the question you should be asking yourselves. Matt does and excellent job with the kids, as does Bobby C. They are always pushing the boys in a positive manner and the results speak for themselves. I have 4 sons, three of which have done several program with them and am very happy with the results. I do not agree with some people about thinking they are scammed, stay and watch the boys compete and get better, the proof is the results.

I am writing to rebut some of the complaints I see here. Despite someone's claim to the contrary, Matt Miller did play NCAA Division I basketball at Southern Illinois before transferring out when Coach Bruce Weber left. As for the claim of "select" players being treated differently than regular players, M14 does have an Academy for which one must try out. If you make it, you are given harder drills than what you would receive in the non-Academy programs. That's how sports works! If you want to advance to the harder drills, then work hard and get better. My daughter has been in this program for over 3 years and has improved tremendously because of it. There is an average Coach to player ratio of 8 to 1. The drills are hard and the coaches are demanding. M14 not for everyone, but if your kid is motivated to improve, he/she WILL get results. There is a reason 400+ athletes participate in this program each year.

M14 Hoops in Naperville, IL are *** Artists that steal from hard working single parents during tax season!!!!

Matt went to school with my uncle and he was not a Division 1 player....please do your research on these individuals before you start paying them all this money. Matt Miller has a bad habit of telling people that he was a Division 1 player and he WAS NOT! This is a gimmick for him to get your money....ask Matt to prove it? Matt runs the same drills and excludes the hard working kids from receiving better training so that they can make a name for themselves.....he harms the kids future by not giving them the same opportunities at his "Select" program, but he still charges you the same money as his "Select" program so understand that you are being CHEATED!

CHEATED and DENIED OPPORTUNITY

Preferred solution: All children given the opportunity as you give towards your favorite players with the "Select" team. If they cannot withstand the training them place them in a lower level group,, but to automatically EXCLUDE children is to discriminate!!!!!

Did homework... every parent wants to see kids be at top, I understand that-- problem is life isn't that way.

If your kid isn't "select" can't really have them train in same way-but they are getting training to advance their skills at their level. They work out. on own and love game they will improve , doesn't mean they will be D1- god given athleticism and height separates most in basketball. If your child doesn't have it for basketball find what it is and let them grow into it-- quit blaming everyone for everything have them try working harder very easy place blame somewhere else .

If he was on this team, I can vouch for him because I know Dearman personally. I also believe this team may have made a tourney run.

My son started dribble training with matt in the 5th grade. Now he's a soph playing varsity and proud to say known to be 1 of the best ball handlers and players in the western suburbs.

Started low in skill and soon progressed to the top Academy class. Sweat,blood,tears.... The teaching is correct but how much work do you put in with yours?

Maybe your kid just ain't got it... I recommend m14 to all young SERIOUS ballers trust me results will follow!

I'm glad I found this posting too!

There is favoritism within the organization. Not everyone is happy....This organization promotes individuals within the M14 Select group as long as you are his frat brother when that child actually does not belong in that group so what does really say for the rest of the kids who are busting their butts to get there....WE REALLY DON'T MATTER!!!!! As long as you have a inside connection you don't have to put in the work that everyone else does because you get a free pass.

Sounds like typical parents who can't accept that their child is not among the top tier of talent. My child came through M14 years ago.

The training is top notch. I attended a tournament a few weeks ago to watch the youngsters play. I noticed several players who where clearly amongst the most talented in the gym.

When I inquired, they were ALL M14 trained. Get over it...stop whining and reset your expectations.

He charges the same price for each program, but he cheats the other kids by not allowing them to get the same training as his personally chosen "SELECT" kids....why charge the kids that are not as advanced as his "Select" kids the same price......THAT IS NOT FAIR BY ANY MEANS....your right...it's all just a rip off!

My child was with M14 hoops several years before she went to college and I would have to disagree with your disgruntled comments. Matt and his staff have always been top notch when it comes to professionalism and they always explain their training process before you sign up- so I'm not sure about the confusion on pricing and programs.

They evaluate your child based upon skill level. It is not fair for an advance kid to be placed with kids that are still struggling on dribbling and shooting techniques and vice versa, it is not fair for my child to not get the proper attention to detail because she was in a class that was far more advanced than she was. If you think about what is BEST for your child and every other paying child in the class- it should make better sense. I think these are parents with unrealistic views of their child's talent- not everyone can be a star player or division 1 athlete people!

My daughter never went D1 but her skills were far superior having trained with M14 Hoops.

This posting and website is lame and I feel guilty I am stooping so low as to respond.
